MCFC’s digital future positions the club as a leader in fan engagement, commercial growth and is a central pillar in the club’s overall strategy.
The aim was to create an interactive online presentation which presented planned activity, growth and digital strategy to board members, stakeholders, sporting peers and digital trade show audiences. Complementing the concept of 'Data-tainment' — sports data being used as a form of entertainment to help engage fans — this had to be visually appealing and lend itself to being presented in an infographic-type style.
We developed the Strategic Roadmap, a solar system diagram borrowing the Blue Moon concept from the largest unofficial fan-led City website, keeping the idea within the realm of fan engagement.
Unfortunately, when it reached the execution phase it took a different direction and as such these concepts were never used to their full potential.
