CHALLENGE
After we completed a London to Paris ride, we couldn’t find a decent way to commemorate the experience. Online activity logging such as Strava and Garmin get lost in your feed and are barely looked at again.

APPROACH
We decided that a physical memento was the route – beautiful paper, personal, framed, and crucially also wouldn't get tossed into a box (sorry, race medals). We needed a variety in themes to cater for all tastes and the Paper Trails brand needed to excite, and put a light-hearted spin on challenging outdoor experiences.

IDENTITY
To differentiate, we drew inspiration from our childhood in 90s Cape Town: surf and skateboard culture filled with bold, layered editorial layouts, witty copy, sunset gradients and a sense of adventure baked into every detail. Graphic elements resemble strips and corner frames borrowed from the print production process.

OUTCOME
We've received numerous glowing reviews from the thousands of customers hanging prints in their homes. We caught Strava's attention and have since partnered with them on two high-profile campaigns with adidas, creating bespoke themes for marathon finishers around the world.
