Paper Trails is an online platform to transform your achievements into art, using your Strava activities and GPS routes to create a personalised keepsake. Founded and built with my brother Adam, my role spans brand identity, strategy, marketing, customer experience, UX/UI and product design.

DEFINE
After Adam and I completed a London to Paris ride, we wanted to commemorate it and couldn’t find a solution on the market which we liked, so we decided to make it ourselves. An easy way to make something you will actually keep and treasure.

APPROACH
To differentiate from competitors, we drew inspiration from our childhood, being surrounded by 90s Cape Town surf and skateboard styles: bold editorial layouts, witty copy, sunset gradients and a sense of adventure baked into every detail.

IMPACT
We caught Strava's attention and have since partnered with them on two high-profile campaigns with adidas, creating bespoke themes for marathon finishers around the world.
