Wandering Fever is a Cape Town based production company filming adventures on all seven continents. Led by director Dean Leslie, they’ve defined the art of adventure storytelling – from Salomon’s acclaimed online film series to expeditions with Red Bull. We positioned them as leaders with an identity that reflects their mission, rolled out digitally as the hub for their celebrated films.

Approach
We began by exploring the visual language of adventure—signposts, map symbols, geological markings and elemental forms. Rather than simply creating a mark to sit beside the logotype, we developed a monogram that distilled these references into a single symbol, carrying the spirit and experience of Wandering Fever in one unified mark.
Grounded & Fluid
With Wandering Fever’s stories spanning both land and water, we avoided vague path-based symbols and turned instead to universal forms—elements, water lines and mountain silhouettes. These became the foundation for shaping the letters WF into a clear, balanced monogram, accented with a copper tone that added warmth and contrast while evoking the glow of early light.
Alongside the identity, we designed and built a website to serve as their digital home—housing an archive of acclaimed films, showcasing new releases, and carrying the same spirit of adventure as their work. Subtle topographic lines and keylined details brought a map-inspired aesthetic that framed the content without overwhelming it.
Impact
The monogram was adopted straight away by film festivals and partner brands, quickly appearing across titles, posters and online platforms. With practical, easy-to-use assets in hand, Wandering Fever were able to drop their identity seamlessly alongside names like Red Bull, Salomon and Kendal Mountain Festival—looking instantly at home among the world’s leading adventure brands.
