The Rhino Run is an unsupported gravel bike-packing race across Africa, from Namibia to South Africa. Created by Ryan Flinn (a.k.a "Rhino") at Curve Cycling, it's a unique event with a charitable cause. I explored concepts for a brand refresh, including a bespoke logotype. A different direction was decided, but this Rhino deserved to see the light of day. Be free!

AIMS
To prepare for brand partnerships and events — boosting recognition and making the brand easier to apply across all touchpoints.

SOLUTION
The bold, custom logotype and mark, accompanied by functional, hard-working typefaces capture the essence of courage, grit and adventure. The recognisable rhino mark being easy to apply over photography or used as an icon. Diagonal shapes and containers signal momentum, helping to drive excitement and capture the energy of the race.
