The Rhino Run

Visual Identity

The Rhino Run is an unsupported gravel bike-packing race across Africa, from Namibia to South Africa. Created by Ryan Flinn (a.k.a "Rhino") at Curve Cycling, it's a unique event with a charitable cause. I explored concepts for a brand refresh with the aim of amplifying excitement, improving practicality across assets and increasing recognition.

The bold, custom logotype and mark, accompanied by functional, hard-working typefaces capture the essence of courage, adventure and heart. Warm, sun-kissed colour tones with subtle grain textures which you could almost dust off the brand. A different direction was decided, but this Rhino deserved to see the light of day. Be free!
