Bello Cyclist approached me to develop a concept to pitch to Graviky Labs (born out of MIT) using their AIR-INK®: up-cycled carbon emissions turned into ink. The concept was backed, leading to the world's first cycling cap of its kind. Working closely with owner Kris, I created all the lettering, design and copy — also adapted for t-shirt graphics.

Project Details

AIM
To use cycling as the obvious vehicle (pun excused) for lowering carbon emissions — making the AIR-INK® story visible in the design itself.

SOLUTION
Rhyming slogans and witty copy, represented by fumes and smoke as letterforms to create intrigue, inviting onlookers to dissect the wording.

OUTCOME
Bello started selling the cap at blazing speed, and the slogans and messaging were being shared across social media. They've also invited other artists to contribute, continuously working with AIR-INK®.
